It is with a heavy heart that following the latest advice from the Government, we have made the decision to temporarily close The Abbey Hotel at 17:00, 24th March 2020.

The UK Government’s Health Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 have been put in place to reduce the risk of further human-to-human transmission in this country. The UK Chief Medical Officers have assessed the risk to the UK as moderate.

We are monitoring Coronavirus updates from the UK Government and the World Health Organisation and will continue to respond based on the advice of public health authorities and medical professionals.

For guest whose travel plans are being affected by the virus, modification and cancellation penalties may be waived for stays with arrivals until the 30th June.
