We are looking for a Food and Beverage Operations Manager at The Abbey Hotel in Redditch who can demonstrate flair, engage and motivate an effective service driven team and enjoys the challenge of maximising growth. You will be expected to oversee the Restaurant and Bar, Conference & Banqueting and Duty Managers of the hotel and must have an absolute commitment to provide the highest quality of service to our guests.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

* Maintaining proper staffing levels within assigned departments & control of rotas to the needs of the business.
* Responsible for leading day to day operations, the running of the weddings, restaurants and Bars.
* Must lead by example and role model the expected behaviours while projecting a sense of urgency in responding to guests needs.
* Monitor and action guest feedback received directly in the hotel, through guest satisfaction surveys, 3rd party websites and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
* To work closely with the Hotel Manager to ensure seamless guest experience is provided.
* Development of departmental budgets and controlling expenses.
* Working closely with revenue and sales to maximise all revenue generating opportunities and support sales activities.
* Drive health and safety compliance throughout the departments.
* Keeping all staff up to date with any relevant training that may be required, identify promotional opportunities for staff members and develop where required.
* Ensure property standards are being maintained by identifying cleanliness and maintenance issues by way of daily snag sheets.
* Other duties as specified by the Hotel Manager and General Manager to reflect the needs of the business.

A Food and Beverage Operations Manager must be presentable and well-spoken, highly focused, have excellent communication skills, be motivated and professional in appearance and presentation.

You should have the ability to influence and inspire the hotel team to drive the business forward and have the ability to appraise, motivate, support and challenge to deliver performance on a daily basis.
