Perfect Wedding Day
After 23 years together my now husband and I got married at The Abbey Hotel on the 14th October 2017, we didn’t look at any other venue as we were sold instantly with our first meeting with Rachel she was warm, friendly and reassured us that we will have our perfect wedding. And yes! the hotel definitely lived up to its four star rating as the service we received running up to and during our wedding was first class.

I would especially like to say a massive thank you to Kay Lilley who took over from Rachel with regards to the arrangements you are a star, nothing was too much trouble you catered to all our needs and was always at hand to answer any queries we bombarded you with along the way. With your help our long awaited big day was just magical. You’re a total credit to the business and the stresses of planning our big day where made less stressful with you at our side.

I would also like to thank Lockie, Lewis and all the staff who looked after us on our actual wedding day, the service was exceptional. The whole day ran like clockwork, we had a few late changes to children’s meals and it was done without question, all our guests needs where catered for and the presentation of the room and food was outstanding. I would highly recommend The Abbey Hotel to anyone who is looking for the perfect wedding venue.

We even spent a night there before we went on our honeymoon and this will definitely be the place where we will be spending our first anniversary as husband and wife. The Abbey Hotel exceeded our expectation and we thank you!

Mother’s post-funeral reception expertly handled
I am writing to say how well everyone at The Abbey Hotel managed the arrangements for my mother’s post-funeral reception. Everything was done professionally and efficiently but with the greatest of friendliness and all of the details were well managed. Louchlan Deeming has a good team working for him. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they anticipated most of our needs before we even asked for them. The room chosen was exactly the right size for our guests to circulate or to sit in groups and the menu was excellent. Two of our guests stayed at the hotel overnight and they were most impressed with the quality of the accommodation, the food and the kindness of the staff. One of the two had suffered a stroke and her husband described the hotel's approach as “compassionate”. We will be using the hotel for happier events in future.

I write in relation to our wedding reception we had at the Abbey on the 9th September 2017. After the wedding and the honeymoon and the dreaded return to work, I can happily say we are now fully settled into married life reminiscing of our wonderful memories of the day.

When we first started viewing potential venues, The Abbey was the first venue we saw and out of all the other venues we viewed, I have to say that the Abbey blew every other venue out of the water. This was not just down to the cost and the other great services you offer, it was mainly the staff and the level of service we received upon our first meeting.

We were sold instantly and this was down to one person in particular, Kay Lilley. I do not have enough words of praise to say how good she was/is. She is such a credit to that hotel and I believe she is invaluable to your business. From the moment we first sat down and spoke about our wedding, she was so accommodating it was beyond belief. Kay herself made a massive impression on ourselves and were instantly sold.

She catered to all of our needs and requirements and was always on hand to answer any queries or worries that we had in the build up to our big day. The day itself ran like clockwork albeit a few delays no fault of the hotel may I add. Every little detail we required was there without any bother and any changes / amendments we had at the last minute were in place without question.

Kay made us both very calm and assured that we could just arrive and everything would be taken care of and she did not fail on her promise. I know Kay has been planning weddings for some time now within the business and it and it shows, the wealth of experience she has and the invaluable customer service skills she showed were nothing short of exceptional especially as she turned up to greet us on the actual day when it was her day off which we were very touched at such a gesture.

We would like to personally thank Kay individually for all her efforts and commitment to our day and because of Kay, we now hold very fond memories and if given the chance, we would choose The Abbey a million times over as a venue.

I would like to say a special thank you to Locky who was looking after us on the actual day and I must say, he is another example the hotel should pride itself upon. He was there for anything we needed and ensured the day ran smoothly. After all the nerves during the day, he was always there to reassure us that everything was taken care of.

Another member of staff I would like to mention is Ian who was the manager during the weekend. I had many conversations during my stay with yourselves and he looked after us both and even Phil on the morning of wedding. He gave reassuring words based on his own experiences which settled his nerves and ensured the wedding party was well looked after including the arrangement of their button holes!

I appreciate I have rambled on a lot however I can’t speak highly enough of The Abbey, Kay especially and the whole team! Your staff are a massive credit to your business and we will always hold The Abbey in high regard!

I would appreciate if you would pass on our gratitude to your staff and we look forward to revisiting The Abbey in the near future! Thank you once again!

Fantastic New Year




















We booked in for the New Years Eve Gala Ball. Rooms spacious and clean, well equipped gym and friendly staff. Very well organised ball, especially the food which was of exceptional quality given the numbers being catered at the same time. Good DJ too, nice range of music covering the decades so something for everyone. We went there after a day in Alcester and on the way home visited Stratford Upon Avon, so all in all a great way to mark the New Year. Would definitely go there again.

Having celebrated our wedding at The Abbey Hotel on Saturday 3rd June 2017, my husband and I feel compelled to write to commend the staff at the hotel for their service, professionalism and willingness to help. Our wedding day could have been an anxious experience for us; with us keen that our guests enjoyed the day and that our life as a married couple commenced as we would want it to. However, the staff at the hotel could not do enough to help us; nothing was too much trouble. Service was given willingly and with a smile. We cannot commend the staff highly enough. Our guests commented very favourably about all aspects of the day at the hotel from the upkeep of the grounds, to service of all staff and the quality of the food. Our thanks and commendations to you all.

It would be remiss of us to not give a special mention to Kay Lilley. from our initial meeting with Kay at the end of 2016 until the wedding day Kay has been an outstanding professional who has been a credit to your hotel. Despite looking at alternative venue, the choice of where to have our wedding was a real "no-brainer". It would not be an exaggeration to say that this was largely due to the commitment, dedication and professionalism of Kay. She listened to what we wanted, made suggestions about how our day could be enhanced and delivered on everything she promised. This is unfortunately such a rare occurrence nowadays it would seem. Kay has been an outstanding support throughout our wedding plaaning and we are under no illusions that the success of and enjoyment from yesterday was enhanced by Kay's involvement. please her on our behalf and pass on our thanks. Indeed, the words "thank you" would hardly suffice.

We have had the most fantastic start to our life as husband and husband and remain grateful to Kay and the staff at the Abbey Hotel for the role you have played in our big day.

70th Birthday Party
Our celebration evening at the Abbey Hotel on Friday 16th June 2017 was everything I hoped it would be. From our initial first meetings to the event itself, I had every confidence in you that the evening would run smoothly. It was a pleasure dealing with you. Your willingness to filfill my wishes, your advice and ideas on how best to organise the preparations and your attention to detail ensured that the staff carried out their duties beatifully on the night.

The service and quality of the food was excellent and I was delighted with the way the hotel staff accomodated the various requests of our guests.

Ian provided a great selection of music for the evenings entertainment. There wasn't a request that he was unable to play.

At the end of a perfect evening, my husband and I were delighted to retire to the 'Royal' suite and I know, my daughters Theresa and Tara, were equally thrilled with the 'Leamington' and 'Malvern' rooms.

We have received alot of positive feedback from our friends and family on their enjoyment of the whole evening.

Superb Golf Weekend 5*
Booked this venue through Golf Breaks many months ago. 16 golfers for 3 rounds, 2 nights dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival the golf pro shop could not of been more helpful. The golf course was in fantastic condition. There was a starter on the tee to set us off and even the weather was on our side, well for most part. The rooms were super tidy and clean what you would expect I guess for a 4 star.  The food was excellent a la carte menu and buffet breakfast with fresh toast, eggs and coffee/tea to order.

The staff were super attentive and very on the ball. We happen to have our own mini function room which worked out a treat. The bar food was great too as we ate on the Sunday before departing. I don't usually leave reviews but felt after the great weekend the Abbey Hotel provided it was only right I did so.

Well done all at The Abbey Hotel I am sure we will meet again. , , ,
Fantastic Conference Venue
We have held our conference at The Abbey for the last 5 years. We have already signed up for next year. We cannot fault the team or the venue. Their efforts during our conferences have to be commended and they are incredibly attentive. Oliver and Claire in particular were incredibly helpful. The food was first class, and we would recommend travelling here for this alone.

We have over 60 rooms during our stay and all are clean, well kept and spacious.

We would recommend!
Christening / Birthday Celebration
I held a triple celebration for my daughters 4th Birthday, Christening and my husbands 40th Birthday on Sunday 29th January 2017 in the Henley and Arden Suite. The day was flawless, the staff were all very helpful and nothing was too much for them!! They took all of the stress away from me and we had an amazing day!

We chose Chilli and Curry for the adult food along side a buffet and the food was beautiful, this was served by the staff which worked really well! We also had a children's buffet, this was also very impressive and went down a treat!

We had 80 adults and 35 children to our party and the room worked perfectly for the size of the party.

I can't thank all of the staff enough especially Kay and Aimi who helped me plan the day and set it up in the morning, I didn't have to do anything and they made sure everything was perfect for our arrive and beyond!!

I would highly recommend the Abbey Hotel for functions and weddings!
