  • Full Time Receptionist - 40 hours per week

    A current CV is required to apply for this post. This position is for a full time Receptionist 40 hours per week - any 5 from 7 days.

    As a Receptionist you will be expected to deliver exceptional levels of customer service and provide a warm welcome to all guests at the hotel.
    You will be required to deliver service in line with the Mystery Guest standard ensuring that all guests receive exceptional hospitality.

    You will be expected to work with our front office system Opera, and be proficient in processes such as check in and check out. You will be expected to deal with guest enquires and provide information and advice on the hotel and the surrounding area. You should be able to cope with dealing with a number of requests at one time and be happy to work within a busy environment, which maintains its focus on customer service.

    You will also be responsible for switchboard duties and maintain a focus on delivering a fantastic guest experience even prior to arrival. The role of a receptionist also includes dealing with billing and ensuring that this is accurate and processed correctly, with this in mind attention to detail and an ability to follow procedures will be an important aspect of the role.

    You will need to have a strong team work attitude and be prepared to support other members of the team in completing a range of tasks at busy times. You will be expected to work a range of shifts both early and lates. The ability to work over weekends and public bank holidays is essential.

  • Temporary Leisure Cleaner - 30 hours per week

    This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave for approximately 3 or 4 months depending on the return of the post holder. It will consist of 30 hours per week any five from seven days and split as stated:
    7am - 11am (4hrs) & 5pm - 7pm (2hrs) = 6hrs a day.
    Duties:

    To clean and service designated areas namely, public toilets and adjoining areas within our Leisure Department.
    Handling and storage of cleaning equipment and materials and work. using different chemicals and equipment.
    Cleaning of windows within designated area.
    Clean carpets and soft furnishings.
    To assist the housekeeping team and any other duties as required.

  • Zero Hour - Food & Beverage Assistant

    Ensure the full provision of food & beverage services to all customers.
    Ensure all public areas are customer ready at all times.
    Provide a polite & professional service, customer focused at all times.
    Welcome guests in a friendly manner with a willing to assist attitude.
    Be familiar with current menus & wine lists throughout F&B.
    Be familiar with products & services throughout the hotel.
    Ensure bar is correctly set up & stocked prior to service

  • Full Time Restaurant Manager

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Restaurant Manager looking for a progressive and challenging role, the Abbey Hotel strives to achieve excellent standards throughout the business and as such they are looking for a restaurateur from a strong volume background that has an excellent rapport with guests and is keen to ensure the highest of standards.
    The ideal candidate will have previous hotel dining experience and will have previous 4 star hotel experiences or worked within quality restaurants. You must be highly customer focused, good communication skills and the ability to manage the team effectively, developing and ensuring high levels of customer service and have excellent knowledge of wines.
    You will be responsible for high levels of hygiene control and health and safety throughout the department be responsible for staff development and ensuring high levels of customer service.
    The successful candidate will have at least 2 / 3 years managerial experience within a similar operation, as a Restaurant Manager you will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager looking for a progressive and challenging role.

  • Full Time Kitchen Porter - 40 hours per week

    Washing up of crockery, utensils, pots, and pans.
    Keep pot wash, dish wash area and yard as hygienic and as clean as possible at all times to meet current legislation.
    Ensure floor area is clean, dry and safe for all staff.
    Ensure that all pot wash and dish washing areas are left clean.
    Clean and maintain cutting equipment.
    Ensure all equipment is stored in appropriate places ready for re-use.
    Storage of deliveries.

  • Full Time Chef de Partie - 40 hours per week

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Chef de Partie - 40 hours per week any 5 from 7 days. We are looking for an experienced chef de partie to join our kitchen team within our 4 star hotel. The chef de partie that takes on this role will have previous experience working within a professional kitchen environment. Preparation, cooking and presentation of food for services within the hotel – i.e. A la carte restaurant, bar restaurant, banqueting suites, conferences and room service menus using all fresh produce.
