We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper with previous experience working within a 4 star hotel environment. The candidate will lead and manage their team to exceptionally high standards, the role includes working in line with business demands and includes hands on cleaning of hotel bedrooms, public service areas when required, maintaining the laundry operation, liaising with other senior managers, attending HOD meetings and operating a close working relationship with the maintenance department.
You will be expected to perform both independently and proactively to lead and motivate the Housekeeping team.
Maintain and monitor staff levels
Train staff to ensure they deliver consistent high standards
Liaise with external suppliers and agencies
You should be compliant with Health and Safety Legislation and Coshh Regulations, whilst maintaining high standards to ensure that the department delivers the high quality expected by The Abbey Hotel.
Must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Reponsibility for all payments made for beauty therapy treatments and products.
To promote the sale of beauty products in conjunction with beauty treatments.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a 4 star hotel environment and will have an excellent understanding of hotel values, and will strive to produce first class, high quality service. You will have the ability to maintain exemplary standards of excellence encouraging and motivating others to follow suit and exceed expectations.
Keep pot wash, dish wash area and yard as hygienic and as clean as possible at all times to meet current legislation.
Ensure floor area is clean, dry and safe for all staff.
Ensure that all pot wash and dish washing areas are left clean.
Clean and maintain cutting equipment.
Ensure all equipment is stored in appropriate places ready for re-use.
Empty bins in kitchen and replace black sacks.
We are looking for a commis chef to join our kitchen team within our 4 star hotel. As commis chef you will be expected to work on different sections of the kitchen supporting senior chefs and should have a great attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Preparation, cooking and presentation of food for services within the hotel – i.e. A la carte restaurant, bar restaurant, banqueting suites, conferences and room service menus using all fresh produce.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Chef de Partie - 40 hours per week any 5 from 7 days. We are looking for an experienced chef de partie to join our kitchen team within our 4 star hotel. The chef de partie that takes on this role will have previous experience working within a professional kitchen environment. Preparation, cooking and presentation of food for services within the hotel – i.e. A la carte restaurant, bar restaurant, banqueting suites, conferences and room service menus using all fresh produce.
