We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper with previous experience working within a 4 star hotel environment. The candidate will lead and manage their team to exceptionally high standards, the role includes working in line with business demands and includes hands on cleaning of hotel bedrooms, public service areas when required, maintaining the laundry operation, liaising with other senior managers, attending HOD meetings and operating a close working relationship with the maintenance department.
You will be expected to perform both independently and proactively to lead and motivate the Housekeeping team.
Maintain and monitor staff levels
Train staff to ensure they deliver consistent high standards
Liaise with external suppliers and agencies
You should be compliant with Health and Safety Legislation and Coshh Regulations, whilst maintaining high standards to ensure that the department delivers the high quality expected by The Abbey Hotel.
Must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Reponsibility for all payments made for beauty therapy treatments and products.
To promote the sale of beauty products in conjunction with beauty treatments.
We are looking for a commis chef to join our kitchen team within our 4 star hotel. As commis chef you will be expected to work on different sections of the kitchen supporting senior chefs and should have a great attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Preparation, cooking and presentation of food for services within the hotel – i.e. A la carte restaurant, bar restaurant, banqueting suites, conferences and room service menus using all fresh produce.

The duties include:
All conference rooms are set up to company standards ready for the next day’s business.
Dealing with any requests or complaints from guests during your shift.
To regularly undertake thorough security checks within the hotel, to ensure the safety of guests and their property during the night shift.
Be able to undertake basic reception duties to enable guests to check in and out in an efficient manner.
Preparation of food and drink as requested by guests to the required high standards.
Ensure public areas are free of dirty crockery and glasses.
To ensure conference equipment is kept in good working order.
To undertake the responsibility of a proper handover procedure to the Duty Manager/Conference Department i.e keys and any information relevant to the shift.
Take over the running of the late bar after 11:30 pm and close when required.
Covering the reception desk over the night period and prepare for the early receptionist.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Chef de Partie - 40 hours per week any 5 from 7 days. We are looking for an experienced chef de partie to join our kitchen team within our 4 star hotel. The chef de partie that takes on this role will have previous experience working within a professional kitchen environment.
