• Members can book a tee time up to 3 weeks in advance so you can be very confident of getting a slot to suit you. 
• You instantly receive a 10% discount (with your membership card) on all goods in the golf shop, Tawny’s bar (includes food) & Bramblings restaurant in the hotel. For 5 years continuous membership you will gain a ‘Gold Card’ and receive 20% discount. 
• We are a family friendly club and everyone including juniors, have equal playing rights (no tee time restrictions)
• If you are new to the area or don’t have regular playing partners, our hospitable members will be more than happy to arrange a game enabling you to meet new friends. 
• We have a very busy fixture list of competitions including several medals & stablefords each month as well as friendly and trophy events. You will be issued with a club diary of events to see what competitions are on. We also have regular team matches and away days (ladies, men, seniors & juniors) and if you wish to be involved you are almost guaranteed a game.
• Our team of Golf Professionals provide excellent tuition to help improve your game (we hold regular members group sessions as well as individual coaching) & are also on hand to give expert advice on equipment and custom fitting.  
• The relaxed atmosphere and wonderful views from the terrace in Tawny’s bar makes a great 19^th hole! Not just a ‘members bar’ and with no particular dress code it is also a lovely place to bring friends and family along for food & drinks.

Important points to note if becoming a golf club member at The Abbey Hotel:

• New members will only be admitted after being interviewed by a member of The Abbey Hotel, Golf & Country Club committee and a member of the management team. They have the right to reject any membership at their sole discretion
• When applying for membership of The Abbey Hotel, Golf & Country Club, any current member can propose or second your application. It is advisable to have your application proposed and seconded if at all possible. Should you be unable to have your application proposed then you will be required to play golf with a designated member of the club. This may result in a delay in processing your application.
• An applicant may only book tee times 4 days in advance. Once their membership had been proposed and the applicant has a bag tag and membership then the members privilege booking procedure will apply.
• Proof of handicap from another club should be attached to your application and it should be made clear whether The Abbey Hotel, Golf & Country Club will be your home club
• Ladies share equal playing rights as gentlemen
• There is no 9 hole green fee rate shown as this rate may only be paid within 3 hours of twilight, or as and when determined by the Management
• Anyone wishing to upgrade from 5 day to 7 day membership will be liable to pay the differential between the joining fee already paid and the 7 day joining fee
• Weekend rates will apply on bank holidays
